What I've done to produce this:
Changed the Cookie domain to: *.sondorsforum.com
under domain.xy/admin/settings/advanced

What I've tried to fix this:

./nodebb reset -a

You'll want to remove the cookieDomain setting from your config.

In Redis:

hdel config cookieDomain

In MongoDB:

db.objects.update({ _key: "config" }, { $unset: { "cookieDomain": '' } });
