I need a step by step guide on how to install this on my server

The instructions here https://docs.nodebb.org/en/latest/installing/os/ubuntu.html are extremely unclear. Please help me and yes i do have ubuntu 14.01 installed. Also i dont want to use MongoDB. Much love
