Different entity for "Topic"

Guys, do you have an ideas how to create different type of topics?
For example if I want to create not just a generic topic, but something more dynamic/complicated, and answers for it, will be processed also in unique way.

Example:

1. "Topic" creator declares nominations (categories) - also first post will be updated with candidates under every category
2. Responses to this 'Topic' will be collected under categories.

Generally speaking, workflow differs from topic/reply, but isn't drastically.

Explanation: It's very interesting step just before poll, when you create poll you should invent poll-options, this instrument allows in collaborative nature collect options.
