i really liked that forum software but i can't afford the cost of a vps server -_-
and i tried cloud9 and openshift but i could't finish the installation and i don't think that i can add my own domain with these hosts
if anyone can help me please
and i also want to know what the software depends on is it the ram or the disc space or what ?
thank you -
RAM is the biggest bottleneck that I have seen. 2GB is really a minimum, which is quite a bit for a free host to give. We only use 12GB of storage. A dual core CPU seems to be plenty even for a really busy site. But at two cores and 12GB..... 2GB of RAM is a limitation.

This is our [Grove Social's] busy site getting around 3,000 views per hour, 24x7.

You can trim resources some. For reasons of growth and scalability we use MongoDB, not Redis, and Solr, not DBSearch. So that stuff adds up and uses resources too. For a slow site without many users I am sure that you can trim it down a bit. We run on Ubuntu 14.10, FYI.

No problem!
