I have Windows related site so I tested and review Windows 10 regularly since it's first preview release
Overall I like it..I think it's a major improvement of Windows 8.x.

And about your caps lock & num lock problem, it's usually caused by incompatibility driver which mostly happen in pre-release OS

I like the come back of start menu and virtual desktop, however I think the cortana integration to desktop OS is something useless

Start menu is "optional" correct? You can enable/disable it.

@Sim The start menu is not optional. Well it wasnt the last time i checked.

@Scuzz yeah, right click > properties allows you to "go back" to the windows 8 start carousel. But it's disabled by default in favour of the start menu.

I would have done Installed it, but don't feel like setting up a partition to play with it.

You'd need to wipe the drive to put Windows 7 back on.

@julian That was my biggest problem with Windows 8, I found it was just slowing me down. I installed Classic Shell (http://www.classicshell.net) and it works great. Looking forward to playing around with
Win 10 when I get the chance.

You mean the whole HDD ?

@meetdilip If you have it already partitioned, then probably not. But if it was a whole drive with Windows 10 on, then you couldn't "upgrade" back to windows 7, it would be a custom install, which involves formatting the drive.

Ever tried Linux - and I don't mean Ubuntu, it doesn't fulfill most of the main reasons for GNU/Linux anymore.

Anyway, I prefer the start-menu over the touchscreen-oriented screen.

Isn't this an exact description of Windows itself? xD

All in all my opinion of Windows X is the same as of any other Windows version: Windows = Solitaire

@frissdiegurke As a developer, I love the fact it's going to be hybrid. It is easier to develop on more devices.
