I had a new version of that in development as a premium job for someone, but that person changed his mind so development of that stopped. To be fair I don't have any plans as of right now to continue the development of that as a free plugin, given the amount of time that goes into it. You can still give that old plugin a shot and see if it works.

@Schamper, would you mind if someone tried their hand at a new version of a EasyRTC plugin? It's a project that I've wanted to look into as part of a potential chat overhaul plugin.

@Ted Go ahead, I guess you can fork the webrtc-old plugin and make a PR when it's done, rename it to something like nodebb-plugin-easyrtc?

Or create your own plugin, whatever floats your boat

@Schamper, thanks. It's more of a side project to dabble in - just wanted to make sure it was good to publish if the project turns into something useful

@Ted Don't underestimate the time that goes into anything WebRTC related, you're very lucky to use something like EasyRTC. For the new plugin I wasn't able to use anything like that.

I might finish it some day when I have enough time, but I'll only release it as a premium plugin. I'm serious when I say that a lot of time goes into it

@Schamper, trust me when I say I realized how time consuming it would be. Thought I might take a few hours here and there to piece together some enhanced features - I was quickly proven wrong on that account. Since it's going to take a lot of time invested, I decided to expand the project. Similar to your situation, I'm quite busy. I'll finish it sometime though, I hope

@Master-Antonio, @Schamper has the good fortune for every major NBB release (and occasionally minor ones) to crash his main plugins. Most of us around here seem to take it for granted that anything he builds will be broken on purpose by @julian
