Gamification

Good job on your project so far. Besides the fact that I would prefer a document based database for this service - especially since Iam mostly working on Windows machines I would really appreciate some gamification aspects since that is something you need to grow a big forum. Awards and stuff like that is why people play videogames for hours all day long.

I did not see something on your roadmap about Gamification so this seems to have no priority for you. Anyway just a feature I would enjoy to have. :] -
Hey @andre-schiemann -- gamification is definitely one aspect we want to build, but it'll be in the form of extra plugins, so that we don't clutter the NodeBB "core" with superfluous features.
We've already started with the cash plugin, and have lots of fun ideas for extending them to work with an entire network of different plugins, so you can mix-and-match plugins to build the system you want

haha this is totally a huge priority for me. as @julian said, gamification will definitely be in the form of plugins. we can't wait to get onto the real fun stuff
