@julian what do you mean, "backwards"? back when they used nested blockquotes, you would read the usernames going inward and then read the content going outward. then they changed the default ui so that it used actual blocks of content in order.

@[email protected] It's kind of a different approach to most commenting systems, in that it's a reblog function that includes the ability to extend the tree of a conversation thread.
Basically, "Reblog" + "Add Reply" at the same time, and people can keep adding on to it. This leads to a lot of fun content where someone comes up with a joke or a goofy idea, and a train of people comes on to expand it or mutate the concept in any number of ways. This is what allowed Goncharov to happen.

@[email protected] yeah it was the fact that it was all nested, so I'd start reading them from the outside in, and realize quickly I was reading them backwards.
That kind of stuff only really happens in email, which is why I was caught off guard.
