Strange NodeBB behavior when new reply is written in watched thread

When (here on this very forum) there is a reply containing mention (@) of myself, and/or someone add new post to the thread I started, notifications get wild; I mean, the bubble (next to UNREAD icon on left side panel) appears, but, upon clicking, Im presented with this message

@macfan Any chance you can paste the image here or let me know the text? I can't seem to access imgur (probably due to my combination of VPN, privacy plugins, AdBlock, etc.)
