Oh!She's since gone into the value of information, how some ("the chemical plant is about to explode unless you shut part N down") is more valuable than other ("Jim worked 2 hours of overtime"), and how costly incorrect information can be.
She used the example of a personnel database and how incorrect information could lead to negative outcomes for people, who have a right to sue over it.
I can't help but extrapolate to *mis*information, wilfully incorrect information that can have extreme costs.

Oh!Oh nice. She was about to go into talking about planning good infrastructure for the upcoming computer information networks - and decided to make an analogy as to how the car boom lead to the US forgetting about other transportation, like rail.
Yep yep yep.

Oh!Oh! I've just watched the first 5 mins, definitely going to watch it all. She's legit already funny.

I finally have some answers to things I’ve heard about but didn’t really understand or have a point of reference for.@a11yMel how odd! Wonder if whichever brand / supermarket generic you've picked up - or maybe they all use the same in the UK - use some kind of supposedly inactive ingredient that reacts with you.

I hate the feelings of pure stupidity when I hurt myself. My bicep is now angry at me for using my elbow joint a lot more than usual to raise my arm and whatever it's carrying, instead of in combination with whatever muscle I've hurt 🫠 bodies, eh

I hate the feelings of pure stupidity when I hurt myself.X-ray result all clear for breaks. It can't see tears, so I just have to go easy and monitor for a couple of weeks, and if there's not improvement then we investigate further...

Three days off work seems like a nice thing - but it's for a shoulder injury, where I've been told I should take a few days off tapping at a keyboard.Three days off work seems like a nice thing - but it's for a shoulder injury, where I've been told I should take a few days off tapping at a keyboard.
So I can't really go have fun with my own projects because then I'm back at my keyboard. Even my hiatused crochet projects would anger the grumpy shoulder.
Grump grump. X ray later today. If they find nothing that's good, but I still have to wait it out a couple of weeks to see if it gets better by itself, if not I'll need to go through an MRI.

I hate the feelings of pure stupidity when I hurt myself.Been seen. Signed off from tippity-tapping at my keyboard for 3 days. X-ray tomorrow. If no improvement in 2 weeks then MRI.

“Funnily enough, many build tools advertise their superior “Developer Experience” (DX). For my money, there’s no better DX than shipping code straight to the browser and not having to worry about some cryptic node_modules error in between. -
I hate the feelings of pure stupidity when I hurt myself.Shoulder is still angry after a sleep and the arm is weak now, I can't lift it forwards. Suspecting some kind of rotator cuff injury. Hopefully not one that needs surgery

I hate the feelings of pure stupidity when I hurt myself.Anyhow, lesson learned - if I feel unsure about anything like that again, I'll go to what I've already been doing for more obviously tricky obstacles - tell the kids to dismount, and walk it over.
Move the safety bar down a little. Done.
