Post ReactionsInstead of the current Upvote - Downvote mechanic, I suggest having multiple "reactions" to a topic, for example:
All Users: Like, Dislike, Genius, Funny, Off-Topic, ...
Moderators/Admin: Promote/Stamp of Approval- Every user can toggle any of the reactions available to him/her.
- The post would then show how many of each reaction it has.
- If a post has too many dislike / off-topic it can slowly be faded out.

UX: Post editor designThanks for the reply, I wasn't aware of how the task-bar worked, that's pretty neat! I would however change the way it looks, it isn't styled like a task-bar if you know what I mean. When a users first sees the task-bar (my initial impression as well) was a big white box serving no purpose.
I would solve the Markdown notice with an (i) button that gives you some information about and how to use the editor (That it uses markdown, that you can upload with drag and dropping, etc...)

UX: Post editor designThere's a couple of things that don't seem to fit with the editor:
- The buttons (Bold, Italic, ...) don't feel like buttons.
- What's up with the huge white bar at the bottom? The color break with the transparent gray is kind of harsh.
- The text (Content is parsed with Markdown...) doesn't fit at all and is in the way of a smooth UI.
- It's unclear that the New Topic button at the bottom right minimizes the editor (probably shouldn't be located at the bottom right)
- When you are writing a reply and click on reply to another post, your content you were writing is immediately removed without a way back. The user should be prompted if they really want to clear their editor.

Reply mechanics@psychobunny So does that mean you guys will be looking into something like this?
-
Preview next to write@psychobunny Not sure what you are proposing.
So I write text in the composer and a preview reply would appear in the topic?
I guess either way would be fine, as long as the user gets instant feedback/preview on the markdown he/she is writing.

Search improvements@psychobunny Ok, looking forward too it :)!
-
Link features on forum- I agree it would be a small subset of people that actually have use for it. So after second thought I agree with you
- Yeah maybe it would be a bit too distracting.

BadgesIf I'd have an inch of creativity in me, I'd make you all the badges you need, but I don't.
Come on creative guys, wherever you are hiding, help us out! -
Instant Search@planner @julian Lol! I've been busy today... Thought to myself, have to keep those devs occupied!
-
Instant Search@psychobunny Indeed, I don't want to be crude, but the current search results page is quite horrible indeed.

[Solved] Bug when logging in -
BadgesJup badges are great motivation!
-
Edit Reason@planner Great idea! I fully support that!
-
[Solved] Mention bugWhen I get a notification I'm mentioned and I click that notification, I get redirected to the topic in which I'm mentioned, but not to the correct position (individual reply) in that topic.
That seems to be a bug to me? (Chrome, Windows 7 X64, community.nodebb.org) -
Edit ReasonYou should be able to provide a reason for editing. This reason should then have it's own markup to make sure people see the post has been edited and it's reason.

A teaser?@planner Agreed polls should always be an OP.
