The plugin repository is the one in nodebb admin. But the thing about it is that there is no moderation there - it's just npm packages that have nbbpm attribute and compatibility string. If the compatibility string is wrong, there is no way for NodeBB to verify that. You can learn about it here. Other than that you can just search GitHub, NPM and GitLab for names starting with nodebb-plugin.

I was facing this same issue. After a lot of hit and try this is the final docker-compose that i was able to make it work. Note I'm using Mongo instead of redis.

@trevor Filtered channels and private conversations are a great approach, but I think NodeBB won't go that way in the future. So esoTalk is an alternative to NodeBB because it's also fast and comfortable to use. The combination with all the benefits of both would be the absolute best solution...

Ok, thanks. Found that one... I hope there will be a solution in the future. Don't like hacks and workarounds, but should work with widely-used smartphones. Maybe could be done as plugin? So core stay clean without hacks and workarounds...
