The robins start singing at 4 am and I close the windows@octothorpe yes our luxury rental has central air, but itās nicer to just leave the windows open

The robins start singing at 4 am and I close the windows@octothorpe of thatās simple, there is no air circulation. Weāre not running the AC. Closed doors and windows, itās just a box.

A non-looping moment of zen@octothorpe itās not cheap but itās WORTH IT. Like, we love Santa Cruz, but no way are we going over the mountains twice a day five days a week an a crash-ridden road.
At this point my willingness to relocate was a competitive advantage. Everyone who refuses to move, great, stay home lol. The job market in Chicago was pretty dire. Iām not competing with people in Hyderabad anymore.

A non-looping moment of zen@octothorpe to be fair, we donāt HAVE to live there, but the fact Laura and I both work a brisk walk from each other makes it convenient. I was driving 100 miles a day to work in the office at Shure, now I could jog to work if I wanted to.
Cupertino isnāt awful, but the neighboring cities seem nicer. But theyāre not cheaper. Moving into one of the nicer neighborhoods of San Jose is probably the least expensive option.
Iād happily take a pay cut to work remote, the savings would be significant. But high school teachers canāt work remotely for some reason

A non-looping moment of zenor you could buy a 70ās teardown in Cupertino lol
oh well

A non-looping moment of zenāA beautiful landscape and resort like setting greet you the moment you arrive at this sprawling Cape Cod Escape. This property includes two lovely homes, an attached 3 car garage and a delightful heated barn. The first home features a pristine cookās kitchen with fireplace that opens to a light filled dining and living area, a first floor master suite as well as three second floor bedrooms, all with beautiful water views. The second home has soaring ceilings, 2 first floor master suites, 2 second floor bedrooms and an expansive kitchen that opens to a fabulous sun room and deck. All of the sits upon 2.33 acres of lush grounds with multiple outdoor living areas as well as a dock for launching kayaks and paddle boards.ā

A non-looping moment of zenIād always liked this cute little house peeking out over a nearby pond but it turns out thereās millions more hidden behind the trees. Nice house.

Walmart is switching to electronic price tags that āallow employees to change prices as often as every ten secondsā.@kottke āToday, Walmart customers can check on their app once theyāre in the store, the prices that Walmart is offering online,ā he said. āAnd if there are discrepancies, this can bring frustration or make the customers get confused.ā
I assure you absolutely nobody is confused. They viscerally understand being screwed.
