@julian I hate to necro post but was there any more progress on this or an ETA when this would drop with digital ocean?

NodeBB as a pre-setup DigitalOcean Droplet; That would be nice -
Redis -> MongoHas anyone built a redis to mondgo exporter?
Also can anyone explain the pros and cons of a redis vs mongo?

Still struggles a bit with nodebb though.
Let us know http://github.com/NodeBB/NodeBB/issues
@a_5mith explained the problem. Android with modals etc.
https://community.nodebb.org/topic/2333/custom-header/16Its the most noticeable when posting a new topic.

Custom HeaderInteresting. And a real bummer. A lot of my traffic comes from mobile and a lot of that is Android. I wonder if that will ever get sorted out.
-
Custom HeaderThis is extremely annoying in Android. Would a possible fix be to add more space under the composer for mobile devices so that you can scroll? As it stands now https://community.nodebb.org you can just barely see the input text box to compose a message. And maybe set the focus to the composing text box so that gets thrown to the top of the window...? Just a thought.
There is a screen shot from an earlier post: https://community.nodebb.org/topic/548/-nodebb-plugin-gallery-lightbox-gallery-plugin/11

[nodebb-plugin-gallery] Lightbox Gallery PluginHoly eff that was a big screen shot. Sorry I didn't realize it would be that massive.

[nodebb-plugin-gallery] Lightbox Gallery PluginSeems related where you can not scroll or see what you are typing because of the keyboard.
From a Samsung S5:

Gallery systemThat would be cool. Especially so if there were different configurable categories.
-
Gallery system@esiao You've peaked my curiosity. Can you be a little more specific on how that would be used?
-
Gallery systemI'm glad that I am not the only one that wants this feature. The lack of a plugin like this is why I haven't moved to nodebb. I manage a number of forums (photography, shooting sports, video games) and all of them have a gallery feature which my users rely on heavily.
I realize that this if forum software and not a "social network" or a true CMS. Which is fine if you are really only dealing with text.
I wold tackle this plugin myself if I knew more about node, JS, etc. One of these days I'll have to sit down and learn it all.
@MatthewHawley maybe someday eh?

Digital Ocean DropletDoes it really matter if your Digital Ocean droplets distro is x64 or x32?
Am I right to assume that x32 would be better for droplets with low ram like 1 gig?
-
EmailRight on. I am trying to get that set up in conjunction with my digitalocean droplet but google is having a hard time verifying it right now.

EmailWhat does everyone use for dealing with their domain specific email addresses?

Community and Shop@igbuend Thank you for the suggestion. I did look into Reaction but it is still in development and doesn't seem to have the flow or the ability to organize large number of products in a good way.
-
What are the best features of Discourse that NodeBB could adopt?Group messaging would be awesome. I use that all the time on my PHPBB3 forums.

Community and ShopGreat info thank you. I have been playing with AWS which has turned out to be somewhat of a headache. I'll give Digital Ocean a gander.
The store for this will probably have around couple hundred items.

Community and ShopSo I have a dilemma. I want to use NodeBB for a project but this project also requires a shopping cart and a blog to be attached to the domain. So with that in mind I am wondering if anyone else has done something similar or has any suggestions. The blog isn't going to be a problem with the ghost plug in.
I can't seem to find a good shopping cart eCommerce solution that runs on a node server. So I think that I would need to run Apache as well listening on a different port. Then have the shop on an addon domain. Like: shop.mydomain.com
Any suggestions or comments would be most appreciated.
