There is a TON of money being poured into developing humanoid form-factor robots. There is a niche role for an AI robot that can ergonomically fit into spaces designed for humans - like aircraft cockpits etc. But this is a really TINY market
Some Chinese manufactures are pouring an absolute fortune into this kind of robot
Young, female, pretty, loads of secondary sexual stuff - boobs, mouth, nose, jawline, etc.
Why though?
What market and use case is served?

But I my be one of the few that think we have WAY too many programming languages, and that most of them are ego-projects by someone who ends up duplicating 99% of what other languages already do, and just end up creating new operators and syntax for things that already exist.

I LOVE the Bake-Off, and if you contrast it to Top Chef, you can see exactly what you say. I would exclude TBO because of the enormous fun element and the fact that you sometimes really don't know who "won".
The elimination is part of the evil - like why not make it about how much progress people can make?, but the bigger evil is when they use competitiveness in a context of meanness to make it about degrading someone
Some of you are going to hate me for this, but here's the thing - all those elimination shows like "The Apprentice", "America's Top Model", "Greatest Loser" etc. are toxic, fake, and virulent, and spill over into popular culture, politics, and the economy in corrosive and evil ways.
They encourage cynicism, bullying, abuse, and narcissistic bullshittery, and are founded on the idea of public humiliation and degradation as entertainment. They make money by damaging the contestant and the viewer

- Tax investment houses

Every week, we are but two weeks from turning COVID into a low-level threat that is mostly eliminated, and only shows up in sporadic and isolated clusters.
Every week, three things stop that from happening:
1. People still mingle in spaces and numbers that are unsafe
2. People are not getting vaccinated at an appropriate level
3. People are still not masking up when they should

My guess is that some of the racism becomes tangible because of elements in the structure and design of the app and configuration and policies implemented by the devs. Having more BIPoC people on those teams might help identify those elements and make changes that reduced the degree and depth of racism manifesting itself?
