[email protected] It just made me think of all the unread email anxiety I get and I'm like, why the fuck are we replicating this idea for everything? For e-mail, with the way it's used, it does make some sense; lots of little short communiques or one off messages that you may need to keep track of.But it kind of starts to make less sense outside of that context. Even outside of less personal email, it doesn't make sense; a long correspondence with a friend, for instance. I don't really care about 'read' or 'unread' in that context...
