As far as I am concerned I certainly don't own anything and release all claim on any hold on them.

@blaine @liaizon @jonny the way AP/mastodon has played out is very different! I can't honestly say which strategy will have better outcomes in the long run. I am concerned that hosts like Facebook (Threads) will be able to exploit their users, and build network effects, and it will be hard for Threads users to "exit" that relationship w/o losing social context, and that means collective action, and it might never happen.

@drq ah, well I don't agree at all with that premise. Bluesky being an open network that is based on an open and documented protocol is 1000% better then any of the other social centralized crap that was taking steam. And it terms of federation with the fediverse @bsky.brid.gy works really well once its enabled between an account over there and one over here. And there is nothing stopping many more bridges from being built.
