But no matter what I enter there, a lot of errors show up afterwards and I cannot reach the forum later over the ip adress.
It should output a lot of log messages, but not errors... can you paste them here?

@Frédéric-Coubard Looks like there is no problem to me?
Does this mean I have to resume development of Viridian?
Yes, minver
deprecated, though supported until 0.6.0, so don't worry about it.
@char101 Yeah, we don't expose the KEYS
redis command because it is very inefficient O(N)
where N is the # of keys in the database
Oh, that's a little weird, perhaps it's a typo, and should read "proxy_http" instead of "proxy_html"?
As for the local emailer, perhaps you can install @psychobunny's fork?
npm install git+https://github.com/psychobunny/nodebb-plugin-emailer-local
@scottalanmiller How unfortunate!
In a nutshell, perhaps something like this?
@scottalanmiller Check out gh#1659
@Yggdrasil Welcome back! The terminal should suport @
... make sure you're using a good ssh program like PuTTY.
@techabyte Not sure where to go with that one, as I've never tried setting up a NodeBB with apache proxy before... perhaps @planner can help?
Just a word of warning, be careful with "npm upgrade", as it will update you to the latest version of the package in the npm repository, which might be too new if one is running v0.4.3 (and not the latest commits from master). I'm not sure whether it takes package.json
into account.
Turns a short code (xkcd#1234) into an xkcd image (with link to comic) in posts
npm install nodebb-plugin-xkcd-embed
Can you change the bind_address
in your config.json
to 0.0.0.0
?
@techabyte Can you access the forum directly (using the IP and port number)?
@niro That's right... I encourage plugin writers to use the scripts
property in plugin.json
over the scripts.get
hook if at all possible, as the script is then minified on production.
I am also of the opinion that the title itself in the header bar is superfluous, since it only shows up when you're in that topic already, and serves as a reminder of what topic you're in. I also agree with @baris' opinion that it is related to the paginator.
@a_5mith Oh boy... I think @psychobunny was planning to make his own plugin for contact forms, but looks like you did his work for him
@Ezra-Sharp What error is shown in NodeBB when you try to publish a comment?
