@jon I’m thinking more of building a life that the internet means absolutely nothing to. Some land near the Canadian border, lots of trees good cover. Might obscure us enough from the black hawks and apaches. Thank god I’ll have my trusty Walmart ar15 to shoot at them to reveal my cover and become Swiss cheese.

@dumbgoomba That depends a lot on your usage of our web services and Sync. Being active here on Vivaldi Social and our Forum, posting on your blog, sharing your custom browser themes and using the browser's Sync feature all help towards building the necessary reputation needed. @rspfau One of our devs did a little investigation and found that it's an issue with filesystem access. We'll try to fix it on our side, but as a quick fix he suggested looking for "All user files" using Flatseal (https://flathub.org/apps/com.github.tchx84.Flatseal) and allowing filesystem=home permission for Vivaldi.

@jon I use it as a backup browser in case Firefox have some issues with a site (recently Twitch freezes a lot). I was also a fan of the 'old' Opera (used the last 12.** until it became borderline unusable). Still waiting for you to swim across the Atlantic Ocean.

@rattenhirn @leeloo I think any engine would have to match what is out there. There might be some small exceptions, but not much.When it comes down to it, if an engine does not work with the content out there, it does not have much real value and clearly would not be something any normal browser could use.Presto was a much more compact codebase and because it was all written by us, with almost no use of libraries, it could do what the other engines did, but just better. Thus it is possible to build an engine that does it all, but it just takes a lot of effort. After that you still have the compatibility and blocking issues, though.

@jon I loved Opera for Nintendo Wii I also used Opera on Archos 5 Multimedia device, Opera for Windows Mobile and on Philips NetTV

@jon I was driving my Smart ForTwo ED (electric drive) so much that my backup gas car's 12V battery kept dying because I would drive it so rarely. Once in a while I wonder if I should get a luxury car. But I remind myself that the real luxury is being able to park easily/anywhere I want in Chicago.
