@nhl.pl We started out planning to use NodeBB as an backend for our integrated forum, packing it into our kubernetes deployment environment.
That didn´t go as smoothly as antisipated to be brutaly honest. The REST API´s had a lot of quirks that complicated things, and the lack at that time of official hardened docker containers almost put us off.
But we see a potential here, and we made some stategic changes that means we use NodeBB as is, and only changes Themes and Skins. Stille some strange issues, but none we can´t survive, and we will spend more time integrating the neccesary services into NodeBB in the future, than trying to get the forum integrated in our overall user story.
The GREAT part of NodeBB, is the speed of development and response from the community: We needed a new language, we now have a new language, we need bugs fixed, it pops through.
There is still things to do, but I´m optimistic
