One of these days there will be enough interest for an end-user conference, I can feel it.

A takeaway from the #FediForum is people need ways to make money here.
Very little funding reaches fediverse developers. Regardless, they push forward because they believe in this idea.
Not to mention users that want to make a living in this space.
I support fedi projects and the people making them, even when those investments make it more expensive to be here.
It's worthwhile. It's not enough.
Wish I had a solution. But I'm happy to offer support to those that do, and hope you will too.
@julian I was thinking something more along the line of Misskey's inline "ads" that are local only - they never got used that I have seen because...yeah...but it exists and aren't federated out. I think the idea was to use them for server donation campaigns.
If someone entices you to an in-person meeting with the promise of bagels, and then brings only asiago cheese bagels and no cream cheese because "there's already cheese on it", they don't understand bagels, they don't understand you, were never your friend, and now will never be.
I love seeing these smaller activitypub creations popping up in various programming languages. Makes me think documentation on the basics is getting better, and with Evan's ActivityPub book coming out soon, even more so. Exciting, y'all!

@jenniferplusplus This is still my top blog post by far. Thereās obviously a lot of interest in how this works. I really just wanted to know why some music sites showed an embedded player and others didnāt. It got out of hand. 
It's wonderful to see discussions occurring on the fediverse like this. I think a future challenge, as more diverse federated platforms become popular, will be figuring out better ways to display content in your feed based on it's origin.
An example - this thread (with some very long posts) is readable in my Mastodon timeline, but definitely easier to read in a discussion oriented format like Discourse.

In recent years Iāve had to turn on close captioning to keep up. These two were easier to understand by this yankee and allowed me to focus on the show itself.
@carnage4life As soon as I heard the voice, I understood who it was and the reference they were making to the movie. The fact they reached out right before the demo asking her to reconsider, then using it anyway is appalling.

Iceshrimp.NET has entered the beta phase. Itās in an interesting state! The Mastodon API compatibility is quite good, allowing the use of many existing apps.
The front end ui is still in progress. Any adventurous fedi nerds that want to install and provide feedback are welcome.
Iām particularly excited about the use of DotNet in such a promising fedi platform. Itās difficult to call this a #Forkey since itās a complete rewriteā¦I guess you could say itās Misskey inspired?
