@andrewhinton Ah! My parents' awful politics didn't really happen until after I moved to the US. Frankly, considering all the things we did I *still* don't know how it happened. I'm not saying they were in any way 'progressive', but simply living outside of your home country amongst people who didn't look like you, whilst integrating into that society (ex: language, food, culture) is something.
