LET’S MAKE IT INTO A MUSIC

“'Ave Maria! Nice and loud! Turn it up loud! We want a little action here! Turn it up louder!'
And then they just ended the town hall early, and proceeded to 39 full minutes of Trump doing his confused, lonely bopping, and his imaginary conducting, and his trademark 'jerking two cocks at once' dance. …
They made it into a music! Aaron Rupar has a full thread with clips of just about all the songs."

"While his hateful crowd cheered and danced to liberal anthems that celebrate freedom and inclusion, Don-old also casually told them to vote on January 5th. He can’t even get the election date right. I hope he keeps it up.
Also, kinda suspicious that January 5th is on his demented mind…awfully close to January 6!"

"Here’s how the Harris campaign summed up this disturbing night……
Tonight, Donald Trump:
Told his supporters to go out and vote on 'January 5th'
Rambled about Hannibal Lecter, a cannibal serial killer who is not real
Acted confused when asked if they should end the event and play a walk off song
Stood frozen and silent on stage as music played for 30+ minutes and the crowd poured out of the venue."

@wdlindsy I do rather hope the republicans only vote on January 5th - while everyone else is voting up to the next 22 days.

" I know it sounds like a Saturday Night Live sketch, but it was real life. If President Biden had done that when he was the nominee, we would’ve seen non-stop coverage exploring his mental state.
All of this is why this is truly a national security issue."

/20Trump’s dementia is not a political issue--it’s a national security issue.
Why is corporate media refusing to cover this?!

@wdlindsy We *did* see non-stop coverage of Biden's mental state! Where the hell was Dean? I was sure he was here somewhere!
Most of Joe's issue was his stutter, which everyone knows about but media endlessly characterized as fragility, while he built the world's most robust economy and led us out of COVID and restored our standing among our allies.
I agree trump is a national security threat; he always has been. -

Let's hope his brain-dead storm-troopers take him literally and do wait to vote until January 5th

@wdlindsy Nobody even noticed the answers he actually gave. They were as bizarre as sharks vs electrical batteries. This whole night was a visit to the mental health unit on Cookoos Nest.

@Runyan50 Exactly. How do you parse nonsense? By "weaving" it into patterns and sensibility that are not even there?

@peterbutler "Indistinguishable from parody" is such an apt description — and the insolence of doing this (along with New York Times) when they know that many of us know better. The slap to our faces and the insult to our intelligence and to our eyes' ability to see what we can plainly see….

@SueDiOh It's pretty clear to me Dean Obeidallah isn't just discovering the media's malfeasance here, but that he's reporting on something ongoing that he's been tracking all along.

@Tharpa A certain story about a boy crying wolf does come to mind when it's over and over and over again.
