Ironically, when my wife discontinued her NYT subscription because of their fuckery, WaPo and LA Times were two of the outlets she was looking at to replace as her news source. They're, obviously, now off that list. Recent moves by Philly Inquirer put them on her list of possible replacements, but she's also been asking me if I knew of other worthy candidates. So, I'm replying here so she can see the list you quoted.

@angldst @ferricoxide I think that @ferricoxide is referring to a thread in which another person whose @ name I can't recall now posted a list of good alternatives to New York Times and Washington Post. I don't know how to retrieve that list. Have tried various ways to find it by googling but so far am not successful. Do you have a link, @ferricoxide? I will keep seeing if I can recover that posting.
