One of the many problems with Donald Trump becoming President a second time is that the Democratic establishment and their loyal “vote blue no matter what” followers now have themselves a handy villain once again, a bad guy to point their fingers at and complain about.
Which means they’ll spend the next four years talking loudly about Trump instead of talking seriously about progressive values and about building their base.

@breadandcircuses There's a phrase from 2016 that still rings in my head:
"Sorry, we can't afford Bernie this year. The threat of Trump is too great."
So we went with the "sure thing" called Hillary Clinton, the only person who could possibly defeat the scourge of Trump, as promised by Very Wise Sensible Democratic Strategists.
And you know how that turned out.
