@chris Port Alberni! One of the first places we lived in (albeit only for 2 weeks) when we first made landfall as immigrants back in 2010. Got to see the Cathedral forest and had a black bear walk nonchalantly past our vehicle scaring the bajesus out of us.

@chris we ended up renting in downtown Vancouver first (to get the city living experience for a year - was a lot of fun), then moved out to Burnaby and then PoCo before settling out Maple Ridge way (only way to afford an actual house - although if we tried it now we’d have to try Chilliwack or something to find anywhere remotely affordable!)
