lazyweb, i haven't kept up with developments, can someone tell me if picotron is artificially resource limited? (cpu, memory, etc)

EDIT: looks like its capped on cpu (but much faster than pico8) and potentially maybe uncapped on RAM?

@eniko Yup, still limited for consistency on lower-powered devices (unlike tic80, I believe). About 2x PICO-8 CPU, but about 8x the GPU power.
Here's an excerpt from the FAQ:

@Liquidream doesn't say anything about memory, is that uncapped?

@eniko @Liquidream For a fantasy computer / console, what would you consider a reasonable memory limit? (if any)

@datarama @Liquidream don't really know? i just know pico8 had a limit. i think it was like 2 megs?

@eniko @Liquidream 2 megs of memory for Lua objects, and 64K for the "hardware map".
(I've been toying with the thought of making a fantasy "home Lisp Machine", and I'm not sure how much memory something like that should have.)
