The TSA experience is so random when comparing airports. Woman in front of me in TSA Pre line had to take off her shoes. Other airports show only your ID. At PHL they need your boarding pass.

TSA could really use some standardization with backend random searches instead of being different at every airport.

@jp For the first time in forever I saw a woman taking her shoes off in the TSA pre line in San Francisco Airport a week ago. My first thought was “new here?” followed by “maybe they have too much metal and set the detectors off.” My belt set the detector off which it rarely does. Don’t know.
