Seeing a lot of folks posting about how Trump voters are already having voter's remorse. They are shocked, pikachu face shocked, that Biden would do a photo op with Trump.
All I can say is- if you voted for Biden in the Democratic Primary of 2020, you handed this to Trump. Biden was the lowest polling candidate in the primary, especially among independents. The 2020 election wasn't a referendum for Biden, or bipartisanship. It was a referendum against Trump. A turnip could have beaten Trump after winning the Dem primary.
And the Dem party installed someone who wrote the god damned Patriot Act. He continued Trump's border policy unchanged. He was just as hawkish as Trump, if not more so, but he just put a more pleasant face on it. Biden's promise to immediately step aside for 2024 was obviously never going to be kept from day one, as he never elevated Harris or another potential successor, and instead just fumbled along until it was obvious that Trump could only win. Biden handed this to Trump, with a bow on it.
How can anyone who voted for Biden in the 2020 primary credibly gloat over Trump voter remorse while never critically understanding how Biden set Trump up for 2024?

Follow up thought I should have led with:
At least Trump voters with remorse actually have the self awareness to have remorse, vs people who voted for Biden in the 2020 primary.
Anyone who paid attention to the primary knew that Sanders had a good shot at winning until Biden showed up, literally a few weeks before the primary, and ALL of the other candidates threw their support behind the fucking lowest polling contender.
That's some vote fixing right there, and that has now led to both wings of the legislature, the president, and SCOTUS all having a solid christo-fascist majority in 2024.
There is no amount of community organizing I could have done to unfuck that. I may hate where we are right now, but I don't blame myself for it.

Just a last thought here. I'm pretty upset with a lot of these folks who were toxically going on about how LatinX men cost Harris the election.
Because once more data came out, it was clear that the majority of LatinX men also voted Democrat.
Not a peep. Not a single apology from folks leaning into that racist hate.
Because the other data that also came out was that Trump spent BILLIONS to maintain his voter base of 74 million over 4 years. Billions, just to tread water from his "watershed" victory in 2020.
The real story was why 11 million voters stayed home. And for all of those kneejerk folks who immediately cry "racism" as the reason- a lot of those folks crying racism were also in the group of people who were hating on LatinX men, wrongly, for handing this election to Trump.
Stop. Self-reflection time.
Go look at the data on wikipedia. I'm not wrong.
