No more range anxiety: B.C.

No more range anxiety: B.C. Hydro has completed its task of making sure there are fast charging stations every 150 km on every major highway in the province. This includes the trip from Prince George up to the Yukon, more than 800 km...

@akurjata This is good news, much better than nothing. Also, in my experience, those Hydro chargers are quite reliable. Downside: Most of the ones I've seen are barely-fast 50kW models.
-
@timbray I think these new ones are all pretty dang fast. I've used the one in Bear Lake, a little hamlet north of Prince George, and it is faster than the ones we have here in town
-
@akurjata Interesting. I haven't been on the Trans-Canada for a couple of years but it used to be the case that you'd go anywhere else rather than the slow BC Hydro chargers. But, like I said, the Hydro chargers (unlike the others) were usually working.

@akurjata I checked the definitive source, plugshare.com, and you're right, a lot of them are now 100kW and up.
