Eggs are now scarce and expensive, and he's placing tariffs and sanctions on Colombia, the largest trading partner with the US for coffee.

He wants us on edge and at each other’s throats. He’s also hoping to browbeat us into submission within his first 100 days.
He’s a ghoul. A transactional, greedy, amoral, racist, cruel, shortsighted, lazy ghoul.

@mckra1g "...at each other’s throats" and he seems to have misjudged the focus of people's discontent.

@davidaugust do what you want with my body, but don't mess with my breakfast?

@alisynthesis the American people historically take their breakfast very seriously.

@davidaugust I love how "it's a mandate" even though it's really "I just think my eggs should be a little cheaper, because they used to be."
We are a simple people.

I read an article recently that said the number one job of anyone want who wants to stop him right now is to push his approval rating down to where it was at the end of 2020.The fact that he spent the first week in office raising drug prices, releasing murderers from prison, and obsessing over transgender people, instead of trying to improve the economy at a time when there is an egg shortage, should probably be enough to get people pissed at him already. The elected him for the economy under the assumption that the fascism stuff was just being overreported: very few people who voted for him really wanted this.

That was literally the thing they wouldn't shut up about when they voted for him despite all the crazy shit: "eggs are expensive, Democrats are in office, these things are somehow connected and I am angry and want change."I saw an article pointing out that lowering his approval rating is the number one goal right now, so pointing out that egg prices are still going up and he's done nothing about it in his first week in office is probably a good idea. He found time to sign like a hundred executive orders, and all he's done is raise medication prices, release a bunch of violent criminals, and go after minorities like trans people. Nobody wanted that, and they're certainly isn't a mandate for that being the priority.

@Raccoon @davidaugust @mckra1g I think this is the article you're thinking of. (I thought it was good too.)

@Raccoon @davidaugust @mckra1g Mock him. Regular criticism will slide off his back, but to make him sound stupid or crazy drives him nuts.

Open mocking and disrespect is just a basic part of non-capitulation. He and Elon are weirdo losers who wish desperately that anyone would like them, but as it stands, there is something just intrinsically pathetic about them, so deeply unattractive that no woman would have sex with them, or even hang around them, if it weren't for their money.
