I thought it was a kid at first, had to reread a couple times to understand what's happening.

Relax, no one is obliged to agree with anyone. You thought it was a kid, I disagree. I didn't think it was a kid, you disagree. We each decide whether to give upvote or downvote to the post and go on with our lives.
And my question was legit, with no malicious intent. It really didn't cross my mind that it was a kid, but anyway....
