The other man's wife looked like she was sucking a bitter lemon, but Vance's wife seemed to me to be listening and perhaps taking in what Bishop Budde was saying. But it's so clear by her body language, too, that she "belongs" to Vance and he calls the shots — and my own intuition is, he could potentially be abusive, perhaps psychologically so. I have no evidence to base that judgment on, but it's my intuition.
