What's the main problem of moderation matter?

What's the main problem of moderation matter? Folks who normally share hate speech, think it is speech freedom. Or that homophobia, transphobia, racism etc, are an opinion like any other. Unfortunately mods cannot do what education didn't do, we all users in decentralized platforms can only block bothering users. I'd not block the whole Threads though - I'm no longer so drastic like months before or it'd be like "I don't hire a woman as she can get pregnant" https://mastodon.social/@Gargron/113794200140617347
