We have just been to the supermarket and I was considering moving in permanently. The air conditioning filtered everything irritable out of the air, and for a few minutes I felt as though I was back to my normal self.

@ctt I have a dehumidifier with “medical-grade HEPA filter” and honestly, it’s the best thing I've ever bought! Completely transformed the inside of my house. Sadly doesn't help outside though lol.
-
@andycarolan Would this work?
-
@ctt Are you sure it's enough? lol
-
@andycarolan So does the dehumidifier with filter clear your whole house, or just a single room?
-
@ctt Well, it's designed for whole house, so I have it in my kitchen. It does the job as far as humidity goes! As for air quality, I *think* it removes a lot of particulates given the state of the filter (which I need to replace) lol
-
@andycarolan One last question, is the dehumidifier noisy? Does it bother you being on all day?
-
@ctt It's not too loud, but probably annoying if in a bedroom for example. It is effective in my small 3 bedroom house, and I've never felt a need to get a second one upstairs. You do need to keep all interior doors open to get the best results from it though. https://www.meaco.com/products/meacodryarete1-12l

@andycarolan Thank you Andy.
-
@ctt You're welcome! I know it's not scientific, but I just compared the sound to a few things in my kitchen. The dehumidifier is quieter than my air frier... it's probably on par with my relatively new fan oven. Definitely a LOT quieter than the extractor fan that's above my hob lol.
-
@andycarolan Oh, they ARE noisy…extractor fans.
