People, the rules are simple:
-
@JessTheUnstill
Fair, fair -
@janisf
The makers and ren-festivants fear no wrathful deity.The retailers, however, better watch their window displays, lest divine wrath descend upon them and depress their quarterly earnings.

@inthehands Happy Easter!
-
@inthehands I've got bad news for you, basic women have nailed their theses to the church door. Pumpkin spice lattes while it's still 100F outside and spooky stuff year-round.
-
@inthehands My only disagreement is that Halloween season can start on the first day of fall.

@marshalla99 I mean, it’s probably always Easter in some denomination somewhere
-
@dave
Spices and spooks know no borders! The rule applies only to merchandising. Be scary and delicious 24/7/365. -
@jsit
I will grant this for enthusiastic individuals, but not corporations. Stay inside the lines, marketers! -
@Rainne @inthehands Thank goodness Halloween is holding the line or October too would be overcome.

SOON: “October has fallen. Halloween is dead. They are coming.” -

@inthehands I would suggest avoiding Germany during those times then as Halloween barely exists here and Thanksgiving certainly doesn’t…
…which means you will start to see Christmas items in stores at the beginning of September or even sometimes at the end of August (photo taken September 8th, 2023).

How does a nation stray so far from the light?? -
@inthehands I’m mostly with you, but I have it on good authority that every day is Halloween. https://youtu.be/mXtKicX5eDo?si=37qx1FO6Cf-Wg6Nw

@mpirnat
This is correct. These rules only apply to marketing. Individuals can and should wear outlandish costumes and/or be spooky at any time. -
@Rainne @inthehands Christmas runs from 25 December until the 5 January. Those are the only legitimate borders.
