Have you ever tried to re-find anything on linkedin? No fun... Looking for a comment, I know who wrote it, and approximately when, and what it was about, but the search is completely useless, and scrolling down the comment history of a person who comments a lot is slow like hell.

Repeat to myself: "I shall always bookmark social media posts or comments with interesting insights, because the laws of social media dictate that social media services have crappy search." (I honestly don't know why it is like that, but it certainly appears an unchangeable law of nature.)

@hanno my guess: for most people social media is about „now“. For corporates running social media it’s about engagement - which is about „now“ as well.
So search is not important for most.To me that sucks, but/c I’ve faced the same problem you mentioned and my conclusion was the same as well: bookmark more. A lot more.
