@jalefkowit I hate that I mistakenly thought this was an old post. This is not the first time this has happened in Florida, and sadly, it probably won't be the last.
One would think such facilities would have evacuation plans

@allenstenhaus I know that neighboring Pinellas County had a mandatory evacuation order for all assisted living facilities, but I can't find mention of them in Hillsborough County's evacuation orders.
This facility was outside the county's designated evacuation zones, so without a specific order the management wouldn't have been obligated to move the people out. Which I guess they decided to take advantage of.
Just infuriating.
