I noticed when I was checking age ratings for Pixelfed that most fedi apps are 17+, with one that was 9+ and ours is 12+

I never set that age limit, it was the default, but maybe I should increase it to 17+?

We don't allow untagged nudity, and maybe if we outright ban that type of content on pixelfed.social, while keeping it 17+ that would reduce any exposure (because kids lie lol)

@SplitMind apparently its set by region/country. in canada its 12+ but other regions its 16/17+

@dansup eh, BTW, why the rating is so high? maybe because tiktok-like & social-media are addictive so it's preferred that children do not hook up & waste their lives like education, but they must be in no way imposive, as some children can and do know how to manage their time & priorities, so I guess +9 is largely enough no?

@david @bargo Exactly, I never said it should be, I just noticed one app that was. I never set the default age rating and apparently, its set by region and app settings.
