@401matthall @jalefkowit While we're at it, can we go back to physical buttons in cars? Touch screens do not belong in vehicles!

I'm doing my best to support this initiative by not buying new vehicles.
I don't think it's making a dent, though.

@401matthall @allenstenhaus There has started to be a move back towards physical controls, thanks in part to EU regulators
Future cars could ditch touchscreens and bring back buttons – all in the name of safety

@jalefkowit @401matthall Gods how I want Motorola to bring back something like the Droid 3. Loved that phone.

Which Droid was it that had _physical_ keyboard buttons?
It had a slide-out keyboard AND buttons. Not f'ing stickers that one of the later versions had.
-
@401matthall @jalefkowit The original droid, the 2 and the 3 all had physical buttons for the keyboard keys.

@401matthall @mhkohne There were a _lot_ of Droid-branded devices, from Moto and others. (The Droid brand name was owned by Verizon.)

@jalefkowit how long until "Fine, you want it on the front? Here's our new $139.99 keyboard with a power button. You must upgrade to this keyboard to turn your Mac on"?

@timixretroplays "Simply buy an iPhone 16 Pro or Pro Max and install the new Power Button app"
