I wish Mastodon handled ActivityStreams "type":"Video" as well as "type":"Note" with a Video attachment.

They could be rendered the same. But they (currently) aren't.

Mastodon seems to render anything with "type":"Note" fine.

That URL of yours is "type":"Note" (rather than "type":"Video").

My original post was a request that Mastodon handle "type":"Video" as well as "type":"Node" with a video attachment.

Right now Mastodon doesn't seem to.

@reiver I do get a semblance of a post if you search for the video directly - though not the Video itself.

@liaizon the service where that is hosted knows to serve either ActivityPub or a regular image depending on the Accept header.
