I encountered Bill Nye on NYE once when I was like 13. He was walking out of a hotel as I was walking in. He looked agitated.

Would they drop the Bill at midnight? Use some sort of maglev or other science, explain how everything should work, then countdown to Bill drops via science at Midnight! If there are multple ways, we have 24ish time zones.
