Swimming and fishing are banned. If not cleaned soon, the contamination could reach Kyiv, risking mass poisoning.

Over 180 civilians were killed and 850 injured in #Ukraine in August, a #UN reports.
It marks the second-highest civilian casualty count in 2024, after July. Rockets, bombs, and artillery caused most deaths.
Since 2022, nearly 12,000 civilians have died in the war.
