Senate candidates who supported trans people, like Tammy Baldwin, won.

Senate Democratic candidates who threw trans people under the bus, including Sherrod Brown and Colin Allred, lost.

The copyright lobby that pretend to be news publishers are going to try to tell you that Democrats lost because they didn't hate trans people enough, but the evidence shows the opposite.

Remember that in 2004, Republicans ran a single-issue campaign of opposing gay marriage. When they won, the copyright companies told us it was because Democrats needed to hate gay people more. But 11 years later, a Republican Supreme Court justice cast the deciding vote for gay marriage, and 16 years later, two Republican Supreme Court justices voted for employment nondiscrimination. Republican politicians were afraid to talk about gay people.

In 20 years Republicans will tell us that of course they've always supported the rights of trans kids to get health care and play sportsball, it's just those pesky asexual people they're concerned about.

In the short term, things are bad, and many of us will die. But in the long-term we will win.

* Asexual people are corrupting children!
* Big Pharma is making people asexual using antidepressants
* The Bible says you have to be fruitful and multiply, and that means you have to have sex.
* The human species would die out if everyone was asexual.
* Asexual people are self-hating gays who can't accept that they are gay.
* Homophobic parents will force their gay kids to be ace because they think that's better than a gay kid.
* You can't know you're ace if you haven't at least tried sex, but also if you have had sex you can't be ace.
* Asexual people are invading LGBT spaces
And my personal favorite,
* Humans are not capable of asexual reproduction, therefore asexual people are erasing biology!

My mom did briefly believe that SSRI antidepressants could make someone asexual, but since she's a reasonable person she stopped believing it when my psychiatrist explained to her that they can't.

I like people and conversations but I don't want to sleep with people. I tried it for ten years when younger (peer pressure), and just wanted to get it over with as quick as possible so I could sleep.

This "stealing" of colours and symbols and flags from other parts of the queer community is such horseshit. Right now folks like to accuse transmascs of stealing the lesbian flag to make the toothpaste mlm flag. It's comparing sexuality to cultural appropriation in a really incongruent way, ignores folks who might be both, and ignores that building off of ideas and themes of each other is very common and normal. Everybody "stole" from Gilbert Baker's rainbow flag, and the leather pride flag, anyways. Steal away!
