My employer has said goodbye to X, for which I applaud him. However, they now want to switch to Bluesky because they don't understand Mastodon or fear that it is too complicated. Are there any good resources that can be made available that provide arguments in favour of Mastodon ( if necessary in combination with Bsky)? I don't think just talking will help here.

Bluesky is simpler because it's basically centralised and runs on VC investor money. That means it's on the path to enshittification and will end up like Twitter and Facebook when the VC investors want returns on their money.
Servers on Bluesky cannot communicate with each other, they can only communicate with a relay owned by Bluesky Corp.
The Fediverse is the only social network which is properly decentralised, and here is why that is important:
