SO fucking frustrated with GoDaddy right now.🤬
I am very new to hosting all these things, so I paid for their business essential email plan for a couple months.
Last month, I decided that I would like to downgrade to a lower plan that ONLY included the email with no extras, so I contacted support. They assured me that it was downgraded and I was good.
However, yesterday my email was locked and I couldn't sign in.
So, I contacted support AGAIN to see what was wrong. They proceeded to tell me that I'd have to renew again at the higher price for 1 month and contact support again later this month to downgrade it correctly.
WTF! This is wasting money I don't have on disability income....
And yeah, I know I could have gotten e-mail for my domain from a different service, probably for cheaper, and not have these issues. But, since I bought the domain with GoDaddy, I figured it'd be easier to just do it with them....boy was I wrong....

@BeAware Um, yeah. This is totally not OK. Worse yet, their email is all micro$oft 365 (aka worst email service I've ever paid for).

I took a GoDaddy subscription recently and was surprised (not in a good way) that there was no File Manager (or CPanel) as standard. On speaking to Customer Support they indicated I could use their subscription tools to build a site (which is free for only a short period). After some requesting, I got a CPanel added, but via a subdirectory from the website, not from the GoDaddy console. So that requires a further login / password to get to.
Things weren't this way with GoDaddy hosting in the past
