@munin Not just realizing that everyone is getting screwed over, but that everyone knows the same thing they do, that everyone is getting screwed over.
The Blue Eyes riddle, despite being a highly artificial "perfect logicians" scenario, was a huge turning point for me seeing this distinction in all kinds of social phenomena.
