Last time this woman decided she didn't want to evacuate because she'd just refurbished her waterfront property so announced to everyone that she was going to start live posting as soon as the hurricane hits.
She starts posting like 3 hours early because her entire yard is already underwater. Then her follow up video is her wading through the floodwater wearing crocs.
You can hear a really loud buzzing noise which sounds like a car engine, and when she pans the camera you can see the noise is coming from a diesel generator that she has set up insider her house. On top of that, the generator is on the bottom floor, and she's had to balance it on top of a Styrofoam box to keep it above the water level.

This week’s contenders are even wilder. “Lieutenant Dan” is planning to ride out the hurricane in a sail boat

@malwaretech this guy rode out Helene in a kayak in his living room and is apparently riding out Milton on a giant inflatable unicorn, also in his living room.

@jerry yeah saw this one, I still don’t understand how the power stayed on with the room 3ft underwater. Surely the sockets trip the breakers at the very least?

@malwaretech @jerry The GFCI outlets would trip, yea; but I guess it's not a given that the water would be conductive enough to conduct enough current to cause the breaker to pop.
