The more client work I do, the less time and energy I have to talk/write about it.

@mxbck Ooo man, can't agree more. Like @matuzo said, we, the noisy crowd of publicly exposed web devs are just tiny bubble.
Adding commenting system on my website was a moment of realisation for me, because most of the comments I receive are from people who I never knew about.
Also, being a little bit more active on LinkedIn recently made me think that there are some other devs who are not on my RSS feed
-
@pawelgrzybek @matuzo interesting! yeah I guess regular comments can reach a broader audience since you don't need a mastodon account. Even being on here is a big filter in itself
-
@pawelgrzybek @matuzo also doesn't help that even the social media bubble is fragmented across 4 different places now 🫠
-
-
@pawelgrzybek @matuzo LinkedIn or (god forbid) Threads
-
@mxbck @pawelgrzybek but are there really many people primarily or even exclusively on Bluesky?
-
@matuzo @pawelgrzybek I don't know about exclusively - but it's growing.
related: @piccalilli made a "feed" of web dev people over there: https://bsky.app/profile/piccalil.li/feed/aaafutx2l2fb6 (you'll see all the member posts without having to follow all of them individually) -
@mxbck yup. I keep saying that the best and most talented developers I've ever worked with and the people I've learned from the most don't use social media at all.
-
@anarodrigues that's probably why they're the best haha
-
@mxbck @anarodrigues I know these devs and I wish they would write blog posts!
