Slightly hilarious to me that all the coding LLMs are on Twitter flaunting their stuff and duking it out, while IBM's watsonx — which I cannot recall *ever* seeing referenced here — has quietly gone around the developers to advertise directly to the bosses on the US Open.

@shriramk my grandpa called me recently to ask about it, because he works at a golf course (couldn't deal with retirement so he mows the course and loves it) and saw some WatsonX advertisements and was curious what it was all about

@pdarragh @shriramk I was recently watching a youtube docuseries about Nortel (hi, I have normal hobbies) and they pointed out that most of the Nortel ads were not trying to sell Nortel products, they were trying to sell Nortel stock (which, it turns out was the real product.)
It went great for them, until it didn't. Really not great. Really fast.
I feel like a large number of tech ads are after the same thing.
